time flies, and the yearly ANGACable trade fair in Cologne is coming up again: this year, it will take place between 4-6 May. Of course, the maintech team will be there too, and if you wish to meet us, we will be glad to arrange a meeting with you. Regarding our everyday work, there are some new SR-Systems boards with maintech software released: Read more about the new SDI boards for professional use and about the ASI SFN boards for feeding SFN transmitters with SR-Systems components below.

If you want to use the MiniMod to feed SFN networks, you should get the new MiniMod firmware to disable the PCR Correction – see the latest firmware version below.

1. SDI BOARDS

For professional use of the SR-Systems video encoder, we are offering now an SDI-In module featuring an additional SDI input for the encoder. Embedded audio can be deembedded and encoded directly from the SDI input port. To download the datasheet, see

On the other side, you can use the SDI-Out converter in combination with the SR-Systems MPEG Decoder. The SDI-Out module converts the parallel transport stream into a serial SDI data stream and emits it on two output ports. With embedded audio, too.

2. ASI SFN BOARDS

If you want to use SR-Systems components within an SFN network, you can do so easily using the new ASI SFN Boards. Built in between MIP Inserter and Modulator, the ASI-In SFN converter enables PID-Remapping and disables PCR Correction.

The ASI-Out SFN converter has to be placed in front of the SFN adaptor and enables PID remapping.

3. LATEST MINIMOD FIRMWARE VERSION

If you want to use a MiniMod to feed an SFN network setup with the new ASI SFN boards, you will have to disable the PCR correction in the MiniMod obligatorily. Please ask for the latest MiniMod firmware version to do so:
